SPXI Conformance Instrument

Measures conformance to: EA-SPXI-WEB-01 v4.0 · ORCID: 0009-0000-1599-0703

A standing protocol that cannot be checked is a wish. The SPXI Conformance Instrument is what makes conformance a fact rather than an intention: it fetches a deployed surface and verifies the twelve deliverables of the SPXI-for-Websites Standing Protocol against server-delivered HTML, returning a conformance score and a per-deliverable pass/fail.

It measures conformance. It is not the protocol. The protocol specifies what a conforming surface must carry; the instrument tests whether a given surface carries it.

What it checks

Eleven of the protocol's twelve deliverables are statically checkable from server-delivered source: crawlability, canonicalization, schema.org with ORCID+DOI, ≥4 Q/A surfaces, disambiguation/negative tags, a Tier 2 server-delivered definition, the Tier 3 compression kernel, the holographic kernel, a DOI-anchored provenance chain, a declared SIM set, and cross-surface inscription. The twelfth (γ baseline + 30-day re-test) is operational and reported advisory.

Rendering doctrine, made executable

The instrument scores only what is present in server-delivered source. Content available only after client-side JavaScript is scored as absent — by design — because that is precisely the content a non-Google crawler cannot retrieve. This is the protocol's rendering doctrine turned into a test.

Invocation

python3 spxi_conformance.py https://example.org
python3 spxi_conformance.py https://example.org --json

Standard library only; no dependencies. At deposit time, laborvector.org scored 1.0 (11/11); a partially-inscribed surface scored 0.636, with the instrument naming the missing deliverables — demonstrating that it discriminates rather than uniformly passing.

Disambiguation

The SPXI Conformance Instrument is distinct from the protocol it measures (EA-SPXI-WEB-01); distinct from SEO ranking or audit tools (it measures compression-survival inscription, not search position); and distinct from any quality or truth judgment of the entity described — it is a presence audit of inscription, not a verdict on content.
